Visiting Researcher: AI Agents in BPM (limited position)

SAP · Stockholm

Apply on the company website

We are seeking a visiting researcher to investigate the use of autonomous agents in business processes. Specifically, the research direction focuses on enabling AI autonomy in business process execution. This path involves fundamentally redefining BPM by introducing "Goals" and "Normative Frames" (e.g., regulations) as first-class, formal abstractions. Building on this foundation, the work involves developing novel algorithms that empower autonomous agents to generate compliant and efficient process execution plans. This research should be validated through the creation of prototypes to demonstrate the practical applicability of the approach in complex business environments.
