Position Summary:

The primary emphasis of this role is to maximise revenue growth through new client sales, ensuring that there is a dynamic pipeline of deals (managing our incoming leads, seeking new business opportunities) and developing a strong relationship network within the capital markets community.

This quota-bearing role will also support the execution of the overall revenue strategy together with the Head of APAC Sales, with a particular focus on developing BMLL’s pipeline of Sell Side Banks, Hedge Fund & Proprietary Trading firm clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect new clients and manage a pipeline of new accounts
• Acquire new clients, negotiate, and sell the BMLL vision to all new clients
• Generate a pipeline and manage leads from lead generation to contract execution
• Lead complex, technical sales cycles with Heads of Quantitative Research, Quant PM’s,  Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Heads of Market Data, and Execution desks.
• Conduct detailed research and analysis of prospective clients to understand their requirements and align the BMLL solution suite accordingly.
• Relay prospective client feedback to the Product Team to ensure that development is in line with their needs

Requirements

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years with a proven track record of generating significant new business revenue through sales “hunter”
• A strong personal network within the APAC Sell side, Hedge Fund & Prop Trading community is a must.
• Experience in structuring, driving, negotiating, and closing large ticket size contracts (>$250k - $1m ACV) with sophisticated sales to solve complex problems, and displacing competitors.
• Industry Experience  - Technical understanding of market microstructure and order book dynamics, familiarity with Asian exchange ecosystems and regional market structure nuances 
• Working knowledge of cloud data delivery (AWS S3), data formats (Parquet, CSV), and an understanding of how quantitative researchers consume data via APIs and Python.
• Knowledge of hedge fund structures and trading strategies 

• Solid networking and relationship development skills amongst some of the most senior, respected and high-profile names in the investment management industry
• Ability to deliver an effective pitch and technology demonstration to customers while actively listening to customer needs, concerns and goals
• Work collaboratively with the client, internal departments as well as external partners to deliver exceptional customer experience with every project

• Data/Fintech/Solutions sales to the Sell side & hedge fund & proprietary trading community 
• Managed full client procurement and vendor onboarding process

• Familiar with common enterprise sales methodologies: You have a proven track record of leveraging structured qualification frameworks, such as MEDDPIC or Target Account Selling, to accurately forecast revenue, manage stakeholders, and efficiently navigate institutional procurement gates.
• An exemplar of excellence, professionalism, and role-model behavior: You consistently uphold the highest standards of integrity, executive presence, and professional excellence, acting as a regional ambassador for BMLL while collaborating productively with our global teams.

Technical requirments:

• Excellent spoken and written English & Mandarin communication skills: You can confidently deliver highly technical product demonstrations and command complex business negotiations in both languages, with Cantonese fluency highly preferred.
• Strong CRM skills  You maintain exceptional data hygiene across your sales pipelines, using CRM systems rigorously to manage intricate account structures and provide clear, real-time metrics to senior management.
• Proficiency in the use of LinkedIn and modern digital tools: You are an expert at modern social selling and digital prospecting, effectively utilizing platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to map out and engage key decision-makers inside highly guarded buy-side and sell-side organizations.
• Ability to sell to all levels, from junior buyer to CEO: You have the professional agility and executive presence to pivot your language dynamically, whether discussing granular microsecond matching with a quantitative engineer or pitching a macro strategic vision to a C-level executive.
