Senior Manager Compliance and Safety

The Senior Compliance and Safety Manager will be responsible and accountable for the correct application and compliance with the Safety and System Assurance standards and the CMERA, for the Metrolinx Legacy Fleet Maintenance operations. This role will report to the Head of Fleet Maintenance and to the head office, and will also support the Project Co (PCo) Chief Safety Officer as related to Fleet Maintenance activities.
They will be responsible for preparing and executing actions relating to the Health & Safety Management System, System Safety and Quality & Environment, which will be completed by creating and monitoring KPIs and best practices. In addition, this individual will be required to design and instill processes that are compliant with contractual requirements. The company can establish fully dedicated maintenance organizations, including technicians, engineers, procurement specialists, and CMMS professionals. CAD Rail Fleet Services (Ontario) Ltd. has been selected by ONxpress Transportation Partners to maintain Metrolinx’s legacy fleet, consisting of approximately 1,000 bi-level coaches and 90 locomotives. The company will operate and maintain Metrolinx’s rail maintenance facilities in Etobicoke and Whitby, as well as several servicing locations across the network.
