SUMMARY:
- Hourly Paraprofessional pay rates:
- $18.50 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to specialized classroom: Autistic, Emotional, Life Skills Support
- $16.50 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to Learning Support, 1:1, Intervention
- The Paraprofessional position will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 6.5 paid hours per day on full school days (scheduled 7 hours/day with a 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break).
- Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support.
- PTO: Employees assigned to work 30 hours or more hours are eligible for 8 PTO days (prorated based on hire date)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment. Responsibilities include:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
- Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
- Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
- Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
- Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
- Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.

Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma and completion of Paraprofessional competency training OR
- Two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits), Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS:
(CCRES paid clearances & TB screening)
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI
- TB Screening (within 3 months)
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcript
