We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Outside Sales Account Manager to develop new business and grow existing customer relationships throughout the Fox River Valley area in Wisconsin.
In this role, you will manage an assigned sales territory and represent a comprehensive portfolio of fluid process products and solutions. You will work directly with industrial customers to identify their needs and provide solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, reliability, and overall performance.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan focused on identifying, targeting, and securing new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, cold calling, customer presentations, solution development, quotation preparation, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations, challenges, and business needs.
- Collaborate with internal customer service, application engineering, and technical support teams to develop effective solutions and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Utilize CRM and other sales tools to effectively manage territory activity, customer interactions, sales opportunities, pipeline development, and forecasting.
- Conduct regular onsite customer visits throughout the territory to uncover opportunities, understand customer needs, provide solutions, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging technologies within the fluid process and industrial markets.
Experience, Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related technical field preferred
- 2+ years of industrial outside sales experience
- Experience selling fluid process equipment, filtration systems, pumps, valves, fluid handling equipment, rotating equipment, or related industrial products strongly preferred
- Experience with Process Pumps is a great plus!
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts within an assigned territory
- Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory for regular customer visits
