Associate Director, Data Privacy Operations, India 

This role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that Global Data Privacy Program core activities are implemented into all areas of Publicis’ business within the scope of the role. This position should have knowledge of data privacy laws that are applicable to the market, adtech, and advertising industry. The position will coordinate across global, senior-level business, engineering, and system administration stakeholders to implement the data privacy program under the direction of the Global Data Privacy Program Lead and the Global Data Privacy Office. This role will navigate between strategic business objectives and systems/process concepts and must possess skill to balance both in order to execute efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports development, implementation, and management of the data privacy program core activities, collaborating across stakeholders and internal divisions
• Accountable for reporting across activities and agencies/business units within scope, ensuring accuracy in reporting and comprehensive visibility. Able to anticipate stakeholder priorities and questions.
• Spearheads initiatives under the guidance of team leadership that help mature the program 
• Potentially serves as a subject matter expert for privacy standards with a focus on India privacy and data protection laws and regulations, as they relate to the ad tech and media industry, in addition to global data privacy laws that may impact client and agency obligations
• Partners with internal business teams to execute data privacy program and compliance activities; is well-informed on business practices to drive engagement and completion in a way that is relevant to business stakeholders
• Stays informed on the evolving data privacy landscape to (a) understand the potential impacts on Publicis´ business offerings; and (b) design and implement the necessary corrective actions in relation to the team’s/Publicis current operations, processes, and tools to remain compliant

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementing and managing the Data Privacy Program under the direction of the Global Data Privacy Program Lead
• Collaborate closely with Publicis Groupe´s Global Data Privacy Office, regional DPOs as well as the Global Security Office to ensure alignment between Groupe´s global data privacy practices and programs
• Ensure documentation, reporting and processes are established within the market per global data privacy standards and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess excellent knowledge of the ad tech industry and the programmatic ecosystem in particular
• Grasps and can explain how data is collected and by whom, in plain language, as it relates to advertising
• Possesses strong initiative, collaboration skills, communication proficiency, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as excellent management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive internal and external stakeholders to a decision in a matrixed environment
• Ideally 7+ years of professional work experience and 3 years in the ad tech space
• Experience and/or familiarity with data privacy laws, regulations and best practices
• Self-starter with proven strategic communication and writing skills
• Ability to provide coaching and mentoring for employees on the best data privacy practices
• Ability to manage 8-10 parallel, medium to large size projects in a matrixed, multi-disciplined environment
• IAPP certification(s) (e.g. - CIPP/US, CIPP/E) is preferred or similar qualifications; willingness to obtain CIPP certifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Share Point, and project management software tools such as MS Project
• Comfortable working in a distributed functional team with remote management support
