Sales Coach

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Coach to support our sales team. The Sales Coach will be responsible for developing sales representatives through coaching, performance feedback, skill development, and ongoing support.
This position will work closely with Operations leadership to identify performance gaps, improve sales behaviors, increase conversion rates, and help representatives consistently achieve or exceed performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and group coaching sessions with sales representatives.
- Monitor sales performance, productivity, quality, conversion, and other key performance indicators.
- Identify performance trends and develop targeted coaching plans.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve sales techniques and customer interactions.
- Coach representatives on products, services, promotions, pricing, and sales processes.
- Review customer interactions, including calls and other available performance data, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist representatives with objection handling, probing questions, upselling, cross-selling, and closing techniques.
- Partner with Operations Leadership and Training Team to address performance and knowledge gaps.
- Track coaching activities and document employee progress.
- Follow up with representatives to ensure coaching recommendations are being implemented.
- Recognize strong performance and encourage a positive, competitive, and customer-focused sales culture.
- Stay current on client policies, products, promotions, systems, and sales expectations.
Ensure all coaching activities align with company policies, client requirements, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a call center environment.
- Previous coaching, mentoring, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and performance metrics.
- Proven ability to identify performance gaps and provide effective coaching.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to motivate and influence employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn multiple systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume call center or inside-sales environment.
- Familiarity with sales KPIs such as conversion rate, revenue, average handle time, adherence, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Experience using call monitoring, workforce management, CRM, or performance-management tools.
Success in This Role
The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with sales representatives while maintaining accountability for performance. The Sales Coach should be comfortable using data and observed behaviors to provide actionable coaching that translates into measurable improvements in sales performance.
