Showroom Assistant cum Cashier

Key Responsibilities Cashier Duties:- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances, reconciling at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
- Address customer questions regarding pricing, products, and store policies.
- Promote loyalty programs, special offers, and additional services to customers.
- Greet customers warmly upon their arrival and offer assistance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the showroom and checkout area, including dusting, tidying displays, and sweeping.
- Assist with product placement, visual merchandising, and ensuring items are correctly priced and labeled.
- Help customers locate products and provide basic product information.
- Support sales associates by preparing sales floor, organizing stock, and retrieving items from storage.
- Receive and process new merchandise, ensuring it is properly tagged and stocked.
- Assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail cashier, customer service, or showroom assistant role is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling money.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Basic computer skills.
