What Are We Looking For?
The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / NDT Level II Inspector is responsible for testing and inspection of structural steel during erection on general building and pipeline sites, as well as occasional plant inspections.

What You'll Do
- Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, testing, and/or evaluation activities necessary to assure the quality of assigned products or components and accurately record results.
- Perform visual inspections on welded products for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and other discontinuities on both in-progress and completed work.
- Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work off-shift schedules and overtime as needed
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification
- D1.1 Structural Steel and Level II Ultrasonics experience
- Ability to read blueprints and understand and interpret tolerances
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical degree in Welding Technology or related field
- Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience
