Business Development & Growth Strategy

Conduct market mapping and opportunity identification across target geographies and sectors.
Drive lead generation, pipeline management, and conversion of new business opportunities.
Develop and execute new market entry strategies to support JIB's international expansion.
Set and manage revenue targets in line with JIB's strategic plan.

Client & Partner Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships across all target markets.
Manage strategic partnerships and alliances to support BD objectives.
Represent JIB at international forums, conferences, and networking events.
Lead MOU and partnership agreement negotiations with key stakeholders.

Proposal & Bid Management

Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals and tender responses.
Coordinate cross-departmental inputs for bids and pitches.
Develop compelling presentations and pitch materials for prospective clients and partners.
Manage bid budgets and ensure submissions are delivered on time.

Market Intelligence & Research

Conduct and oversee competitor analysis and monitoring of market trends.
Analyse regulatory landscapes across target markets to inform BD strategy.
Produce sector intelligence reports to support leadership decision-making.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with Finance on deal pricing, financial modelling, and investment cases.
Engage Legal on contract structuring, review, and compliance.
Coordinate with Operations on project feasibility and delivery planning.
Partner with Communications to develop BD collateral and external-facing materials.

Reporting & Performance Management

Manage and maintain BD pipeline reporting systems and CRM records.
Submit weekly and monthly BD performance reports to the Head of Business Development.
Track and report on team KPIs and individual performance metrics.

Team Leadership

Supervise and manage BD Officers and support staff within the team.
Coach and develop team members to build BD capability across the function.
Manage workload allocation to ensure team efficiency and output quality.
Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Business Development or the business.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
MBA preferred; professional membership (e.g. CIPS, CIM) an advantage.

Experience

7–10 years of BD or sales experience, with at least 4 years in a senior BD role.
International or multi-country BD experience is required.
Experience in waste management, infrastructure, or the public sector is preferred.

Skills

Strong negotiation and deal structuring abilities.
Financial modelling and business case development.
Proposal writing and bid management.
Stakeholder management and relationship-building.
Proficiency in CRM tools and BD systems.
A bilingual candidate will be preferred

The Business Development Manager is a senior role responsible for driving JIB's growth agenda across international markets. The role leads a dedicated BD team and manages the full business development cycle from prospecting and opportunity identification through to deal close and contract execution.
