Assistant Operations Supervisor

The Assistant Ocean Export Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising daily operations and data accuracy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Handle customer complaints
- Handle customer enquires
- Assist supervisor to train & monitor discipline of staff
- Communicate with carrier’s customer service
- Cooperate with subcontractor’s operations
- Problem solving with subcontractor
- Communicate with JAS’s overseas on advance level of operations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ocean Export Clerk (Global Job Title: Ocean Export Specialist)
- Documentation Clerk (Global Job Title: Document Specialist)
- Identify and resolve personnel issues
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ocean industry knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
- Good at English both written and verbal
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree or above
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry
