A chance to build something meaningful.

Great veterinary care is about more than diagnoses and treatments.

It is about the trust you build with clients, the reassurance you provide during difficult moments and the relationships you develop with pets and their families throughout their lives.

At Palmerston Veterinary Group, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the personal side of veterinary medicine and wants to make a genuine difference within a local community.

This role is primarily based at our Romford practice, with regular time spent at our Walthamstow practice, giving you the opportunity to work across two established local communities while being part of one supportive team.

You will be joining a practice group where relationships matter. Supported by Lead Vet Neil, resident vet Miha and the wider Palmerston team, you will have the opportunity to build your confidence, develop your clinical skills and become a trusted vet for the clients and patients you care for.

This is a role for someone who enjoys first-opinion medicine, values teamwork and wants to be part of a practice where their contribution is genuinely noticed.

Why Join Us?

The Team and Practice

Palmerston Veterinary Group has been caring for pets across East London for many years, building trusted relationships with local communities and providing high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.

Our Romford practice is at an exciting point of development, and this role provides a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building connections, developing client relationships and becoming a valued part of the local community.

Romford is a diverse and vibrant area, and our team plays an important role in helping clients access excellent veterinary care while understanding their individual circumstances. The ability to communicate clearly, build trust and provide compassionate support is a key part of what makes our vets successful.

The role will be based primarily at Romford, which currently operates two days per week, with the remaining working days spent at our Walthamstow practice. This variety provides the opportunity to work with different client communities while benefiting from the support of a wider Palmerston team.

The team culture is built around harmony, personal growth and creating a positive working environment where people support one another, communicate openly and continue to learn.

The caseload is varied and rewarding, with approximately 70% medicine and 30% surgery. You will have the opportunity to manage your own cases, develop strong client relationships and provide thoughtful, personalised veterinary care.

Our facilities include:

Romford

Walthamstow

Across the practices, you will have access to the equipment and support needed to provide excellent first-opinion care.

What We're Looking For
