Purpose
The Software Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for enabling effective and predictable software delivery across one or more software development teams. Reporting to the Software Delivery Manager, the SPM will work closely with Software Developers, Product Owners, Product Managers, and technical leadership to facilitate Scrum practices, improve team effectiveness, identify and address impediments, and maintain transparency around delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
The SPM will support teams in planning and coordinating work, maintaining an effective delivery cadence, and continuously improving delivery processes and practices. They will use appropriate metrics and team insights to identify emerging delivery issues, facilitate resolution of blockers and dependencies, and ensure relevant stakeholders have an accurate understanding of delivery health.
The SPM is expected to operate independently, establish credibility quickly within complex software teams, and actively coach and support teams in applying Scrum principles, self management, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The SPM may be responsible for managing several concurrent software products, as instructed by their line manager.
