- Job Summary:
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Java API Developer with strong expertise in designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and building secure and reliable RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java
- Build high-performance, secure, and reusable microservices
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and architects to define API requirements
- Ensure API performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Develop and maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to sprint deliverables
- Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services
- Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in backend development using Java
- Strong expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud
- Experience with API design principles and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Java, multithreading, and performance optimization
- Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, SSO)
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to API gateways (Kong, Apigee, Spring Cloud Gateway)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
