The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, expansion of existing accounts, and development of strategic customer relationships within the beauty, personal care, and packaging industries.

Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, this role leverages market intelligence, consumer insights, industry trends, and consultative selling techniques to identify opportunities and develop innovative turnkey and packaging solutions. The Account Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, target customers, and market segments to drive sustainable revenue growth.
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market penetration and increase customer acquisition.
Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, trade shows, and digital channels.
Monitor beauty, personal care, packaging, sustainability, and consumer trends to uncover new opportunities and provide value-added recommendations to customers.
Translate market insights and industry trends into innovative product, packaging, and commercialization opportunities.

Account Management & Consultative Selling

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, serving as a trusted business partner.
Understand customers' brands, business objectives, target consumers, product strategies, and growth plans to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Apply a consultative selling approach by providing market intelligence, category insights, trend analysis, and tailored solutions to address customer needs.
Present Meiyume's capabilities and innovative solutions to support customers' product development and business growth objectives.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to strengthen partnerships, identify growth opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations.
Lead negotiations and close business opportunities while ensuring profitable growth.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead customer projects from initial brief through development, commercialization, and delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams including Marketing, Design, Sourcing, Engineering, Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Project Management to ensure successful project execution and delivery of value-added solutions.
Facilitate project briefings and ensure alignment on customer requirements, timelines, deliverables, and commercial objectives.

Sales Planning & Performance Management

Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales, profitability, and growth targets.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and customer records within CRM systems.
Track performance against agreed sales KPIs and objectives.
Continuously seek ways to enhance customer engagement, account growth, and overall business performance.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
Proven track record of acquiring new customers and growing existing accounts.
Experience in beauty, skincare, personal care, packaging, cosmetics, gifts-with-purchase (GWP), promotional products, or related industries is highly preferred.
Experience managing turnkey development projects and working with cross-functional teams is an advantage.
Good proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Sales Officer.

Knowledge & Competencies

Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Good understanding of beauty industry trends, consumer behavior, packaging innovations, and sustainability developments.
Ability to identify customer challenges and translate insights into commercial opportunities and tailored solutions.
Strong business acumen with a customer-centric mindset.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to support decision-making.
Curiosity and passion for innovation and emerging technologies, including AI applications and digital solutions that support product development, consumer engagement, sales effectiveness, and business growth.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, business development activities, and industry events as required.
