Linux Systems Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer capable of working with contractors, government personnel, and subject matter experts focusing on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the cyber-realm. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, excel in independent and small-team environments, and demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with minimal supervision. This is an onsite position located in Arlington, VA, with flexible options.

Daily tasks may include:

Supporting a variety of networks and systems in a mission-critical enterprise environment.
Operate independently or small-team environments, providing technical solutions through critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Proactively seek out opportunities to learn new skills, technologies, and share knowledge with junior team members.
Takes initiative to find, prioritize, and execute on tasks to include, but not limited to, systems administration, systems automation, security audits, and patch management.
Professionally communicate with a mixed audience of both junior and senior technical peers, senior leadership, and government officials.
