Health, Safety & Environment Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities
The HSE Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable working environment across plant operations. The role drives safety performance, implements HSE standards, manages risk, and strengthens safety culture in alignment with local regulations and global requirements.
- Monitor and report daily HSE KPIs, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
- Identify and address unsafe behaviors and conditions through plant inspections and Gemba walks.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements and global HSE standards.
- Lead safety investigations and implement preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and external authorities on HSE matters.
- Manage HSE budgets, Capex/Opex projects, and external consultants.
- Drive safety culture initiatives, training, waste management, and sustainability reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (preferred).
- NEBOSH certification.
- 5–7 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, legal compliance, and risk assessment.
- Fluent Arabic and good English communication skills.
