Reporting to the shift supervisor or Lead Process Technician, the Injection Mold Setter installs mold tools into Injection Molding
Machines and prepares them to run.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform job changeover by removing and storing tools and auxiliary equipment to prepare machines for next production
run.
- • Remove molds from the machine and set the new molds safely using overhead cranes
- • Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used
- • Make all necessary hydraulic, water and electrical connections
- • Communicate problems, needs and important information to supervisor
- • Fill in for Press Attendant as required
- • Provide and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the mold setting process and reduce down time
- • Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
Minimum Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent
- • Ability to read and understand work orders
- • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability
- • Ability to easily and comfortably use hand tools
- • Ability to climb up and down ladders frequently
