Cast Technician (Tawam Hospital)

The Cast Technician supports Orthopedic Surgeons in outpatient, inpatient, and operating room settings by applying, changing, and removing casts and traction devices while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves monitoring patients, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff, maintaining accurate electronic documentation, and educating patients and families. The Cast Technician maintains a clean and safe clinical environment, manages departmental inventory, complies with SEHA, DOH, and organizational policies, and participates in quality improvement, mandatory training, and continuing professional development.
Responsible for providing assistance to the orthopedic surgeon, and medical technician services to the department pertaining to orthopedic casts.
The role involves but is not limited to the application and removal of casts, splints and braces.
