Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Buyer/Expeditor to join our Power-Delivery Procurement team. This will be a diversified procurement position within Stantec that requires day-to-day interaction with internal and external clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and/or support development of procurement and contracting plans
- Lead and/or support procurement cycle including preparation of RFX packages, clarifications, coordinate evaluation, and facilitate negotiations
- Implement project sourcing strategies or related RFX packages
- Basic understanding of public sector procurement law and how it relates to RFX procedures
- Expediting contract progress and identifying any issues taking timely action to resolve issues and communicate with stakeholders & project teams. This includes expediting submittal documents, fabrication status, and shipping coordination
- Coordinate shipping releases and obtaining receiving reports from site
- Coordinate inspections as required
- Internal and External Client communication.
- Assist with regular reporting.
- Maintain material management status and tracking.
- Maintaining schedule and milestones for procurement deliverables and update the Procurement report for client.
- Invoice management and attestation.
- Other general project support tasks to complete work, including customer specific requirements.
- Ensure codes and standards (both legislated, Stantec, and customer-specific) are being met.
- Filing as required.
