As a Floater Behavioral Aide with Point Quest Group, you’ll provide essential support to students aged 5-22 with behavioral and learning needs across multiple school sites. What You’ll Do
- Support implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Provide individualized instructional assistance tailored to student needs (paraprofessional/ instructional aide) - Travel to multiple school sites (30+ miles one-way) within the assigned region
- Respond to crisis situations using Pro-ACT and/or CPI intervention strategies
- Supervise students during transitions, meals, transportation, and breaks (student supervision/ school support)
- Facilitate and engage students in recreational and educational activities
- Model and reinforce positive behaviors using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
- Record and maintain accurate daily data on behavior, progress, and incidents (data tracking/ documentation)
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, teachers, and support staff regarding student needs and progress
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Clearance and TB Clearance
- Strong communication skills and reliable
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred
- Experience in school or treatment settings
- Pro-ACT, CPI, and/or CPR certification
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
- 1–3 years of experience working with students with behavioral or special needs
Physical Demands:
- Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
- Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
- Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
