Job Overview:
Primoris Distribution Services is seeking an experienced Gas Distribution Fuser to join our team in Texas. This position requires previous natural-gas distribution experience and hands-on experience performing poly fusion, also known as poly welding or pipe fusion.
The current project is located in Leonard, Texas; however, the crew truck departs from Greenville each day. Candidates must be able to report to Greenville daily.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform poly fusion on polyethylene gas pipe and fittings.
- Inspect, prepare, align, and fuse pipe according to established procedures and specifications.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground natural-gas distribution systems.
- Operate fusion equipment and related tools safely and correctly.
- Inspect completed fusion joints to ensure quality and compliance.
- Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Assist the crew with excavation, backfilling, pipe installation, and general jobsite duties as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized work area.
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working in natural-gas distribution is required.
- Previous poly-fusion, poly-welding, or pipe-fusion experience is required.
- Knowledge of underground gas-pipeline construction and safe work practices.
- Ability to report to Greenville, Texas, each workday.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to travel to surrounding project locations as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
