The Director of the Preston Medical Library/ Health Information Center reports to the Dean of the University of Tennessee Health Sciences College of Medicine, Knoxville (UT Health Sciences COM-Knoxville). The Library Director has the primary responsibility for providing vision and leadership for planning, directing, and evaluating services and resources. The library has a dual function, serving as both an academic medical center library and a patient-centered information resource. As such, it serves with equal emphasis the staff, faculty, students, and healthcare providers at the University of Tennessee Medical Center as well as its patients, family members, and community.
