University of Tennessee · Memphis
UT-Regional One Physicians, a partnership between Regional One Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, seeks a full-time and/or part-time, non-tenure-track Open Academic Rank / Physician to provide care in the Emergency Medicine Department located in downtown Memphis.
Working with Regional One Health, the University of Tennessee has established the only emergency residency program in Western Tennessee. The hospital’s emergency department is being designed as a model for high throughput emergency care in a facility with the only level I trauma center in the region. The program we seek to develop includes clinical experience in a highly structured environment, residency teaching with very qualified emergency medicine house staff and research that will extend to multiple areas (stroke, wound care, ultrasound, etc). Our goal is to transform the emergency medicine physician workforce in Western Tennessee to the benefits of our communities/patients and trainees. This is an important priority for both the medical school and health system.
