• The applicant should be proficient in various computer skills and software to include Microsoft Office and web-based communication tools.
• Applicant should be detail oriented and have a very strong customer focus and possess a working knowledge of pavement design and construction including: mixture types, pavement thickness design, and pavement maintenance.
• Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills are a must. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Relevant work experience will be considered. Must possess a working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Materials Specifications.
• Registration in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer is preferred. Salary based on experience and qualifications

The following is a list of the primary duties of this position. This list is not all inclusive and there may be additional duties added or removed at the discretion of the Executive Director.

• Communicates technical information and assistance to FPO members, public and private pavement owners through written documentation, oral presentations, and in person events.
• Performs field assessments including onsite project review, pre-construction asphalt design and mixture recommendations and post construction evaluation.
• Represents the interests of the industry before state, federal, and local government agencies and affiliated industry committees and associations.
• Develops training, provides instruction and technical presentations.
• Assists in developing written technical publications and articles.
