Department Summary
The Cardiac Cath Lab has four labs including a cutting edge 4DCT angiography suite. Current services provided include: diagnostic cardiac catheterization, diagnostic coronary CT scans, complex coronary interventions, chronic total occlusion, coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and pulmonary embolism intervention. Also provided is a comprehensive structural heart program including patent foramen ovale closure, atrial septal deficit closure, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and mitral valve clipping.
General Summary
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
