HelloGov AI is a fast-growing gov-tech company transforming how people navigate government services through artificial intelligence. We simplify complex processes, including passports, travel visas, vehicle registrations, and business formations, making them faster, easier, and less stressful through our trusted technology platform. We are looking for a talented Front-End Software Engineer to join our on-site engineering team in Miami.
As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building intuitive, visually polished, AI-enhanced user interfaces across our website, checkout flows, and admin and client portals. You will collaborate closely with the Engineering Lead, Back-End Engineering, Product, and UI/UX Designers to translate design specifications and product requirements into responsive, user-friendly experiences. You will also develop scalable, reusable components that maintain visual consistency and support AI-driven interactions across our products.
The role requires expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks, along with strong attention to detail and an understanding of UI/UX principles. You should be comfortable implementing designs, refining layouts and interactions, building modular front-end architectures, and developing dynamic interfaces with conditional logic for document workflows. Requirements
- 3+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building and deploying production web applications.
- Experience translating Figma designs into functional, responsive interfaces.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles, visual consistency, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience building reusable components and working with design systems.
- Experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with Auth0 or OAuth authentication.
- Experience with GitHub and modern development workflows.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including working closely with UI/UX Designers and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Available to work on-site in our Brickell, Miami office Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js or NestJS.
- Experience with WebSockets or Socket.io.
- Familiarity with Figma and design handoff workflows.
- Experience with Vercel, Sentry, Puppeteer, Mailgun, or EasyPost.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or ChatGPT.
- Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLM APIs.
- Experience with PHP frameworks.
