Lead Commercial Growth, Vacation Ownership and Resort Performance Across Bali

An exciting senior leadership opportunity is available for an experienced, commercially driven hospitality leader to join Travel + Leisure Co. as Area General Manager – Bali.

This is a broad market leadership role with responsibility for driving the performance and growth of Travel + Leisure Co.’s vacation ownership and resort interests across Bali.

The Area General Manager will provide leadership across our managed Club Resort Operations while taking a wider commercial view of our presence in the market — including resorts where Travel + Leisure Co. owns vacation ownership inventory, holds contracted accommodation, or works with strategic hotel partners.

Central to the role will be the continued growth and success of our Club Wyndham and Accor Vacation Club businesses. Working in close partnership with Vacation Club Sales and Marketing, the Area General Manager will help identify and unlock opportunities to increase member acquisition, strengthen lead generation, support sales performance, and expand the reach of our Clubs throughout Bali.

This requires more than an outstanding hotel operator. We are looking for a commercially minded market leader who understands how hospitality, vacation ownership, marketing, sales, partnerships and inventory can work together to create growth.

The successful candidate will be expected to challenge traditional thinking, identify new commercial opportunities and develop innovative ways to introduce more guests to our vacation ownership products and ultimately grow our membership base.

The Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Resort Operations, the Area General Manager will have broad responsibility for commercial growth, vacation ownership support, strategic partnerships and operational performance across Bali.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead the overall performance of Travel + Leisure Co.’s resort and vacation ownership interests across Bali, with a strong focus on commercial growth and member acquisition.
Be a key market partner to Vacation Club Sales and Marketing, actively supporting strategies that increase qualified lead generation, tour flow, conversion opportunities and new member growth.
Develop innovative opportunities to connect resort guests and visitors with Club Wyndham and Accor Vacation Club, creating effective pathways from guest to prospect to member.
Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to identify new channels, partnerships, guest experiences, activations and commercial initiatives that expand our prospect base and support sales growth.
Champion a One Team approach across Resort Operations, Sales and Marketing, ensuring teams are aligned around shared commercial objectives and the long-term success of our Clubs.
Ensure resort operations actively enable the Vacation Ownership business through outstanding guest experiences, strong engagement and effective collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
Develop strong commercial relationships across hotels and resorts where Travel + Leisure Co. owns inventory, holds contracted accommodation or has other strategic interests, including properties not directly managed by the company.
Build productive relationships with hotel owners, General Managers and operating partners to maximise the value of our inventory, strengthen the member experience and identify mutually beneficial commercial opportunities.
Continually assess Bali’s hotel and tourism landscape for opportunities to secure additional inventory, establish new partnerships and expand the reach of our vacation ownership products.
Identify innovative inventory solutions that provide compelling new destinations and experiences for members while supporting the commercial requirements and future growth of our Clubs.
Develop relationships with hotel owners, developers, tourism partners and other key stakeholders to identify potential new resort, inventory and strategic partnership opportunities.
Support the development of new hospitality and vacation ownership concepts, partnerships and distribution opportunities that can contribute to membership growth.
Provide leadership and operational oversight across Travel + Leisure Co.’s managed Club Resort Operations throughout Bali.
Lead, coach and develop General Managers and senior resort leadership teams, creating a culture of commercial accountability and high performance.
Drive revenue, profitability, cost management, guest satisfaction, owner experience and operational performance across the managed resort portfolio.
Ensure resorts achieve agreed budgets, forecasts and key commercial and operational KPIs.
Partner with Revenue, Sales and Marketing teams to maximise occupancy, rate, inventory utilisation and overall commercial performance.
Maintain high standards across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Activities and Guest Services.
Ensure consistent delivery of Club Wyndham and Accor Vacation Club brand and service standards.
Partner closely with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Accor and other hotel partners where applicable.
Support new openings, hotel transitions, refurbishments, inventory onboarding and strategic projects.
Build a high-performance culture focused on leadership development, succession planning, engagement and commercial thinking.
Maintain a highly visible presence across Bali, regularly engaging with resort teams, Sales and Marketing teams, hotel partners, owners and other key stakeholders.

A Broader Commercial Mandate

The Area General Manager will be expected to look beyond the traditional boundaries of resort operations.

Bali represents an important market for our Vacation Clubs, and this role will actively seek opportunities to grow membership, expand our inventory network and strengthen our commercial partnerships.

This includes exploring new ways to leverage our managed resorts, partner hotels, contracted inventory and the broader Bali tourism ecosystem to generate qualified prospects and create new pathways into Club Wyndham and Accor Vacation Club.

The Area General Manager will be encouraged to bring forward new ideas — whether through hotel partnerships, guest acquisition channels, tourism alliances, events, experiences, digital initiatives, new inventory models or other commercial opportunities — that contribute to the continued growth of our Clubs.

Success in this role will therefore be measured not only by how effectively our resorts operate, but by the contribution the Area General Manager makes to the commercial performance, membership growth and long-term success of our Vacation Ownership business across Bali.

About You

We are looking for an experienced hospitality leader with the commercial curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset to see opportunities beyond the traditional hotel operating model.

You will ideally bring:

Significant senior hospitality leadership experience as a General Manager, Area General Manager, Cluster General Manager or Regional leader.
Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to grow revenue, profitability and business performance.
An understanding of how hospitality operations can support customer acquisition, sales and broader commercial objectives.
Experience working alongside Sales and Marketing teams to deliver shared commercial outcomes.
The ability to identify new business opportunities, develop partnerships and turn ideas into commercially viable initiatives.
Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, revenue management and cost control.
Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing multiple hotels or resorts.
Strong Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operational knowledge.
Proven ability to lead, coach and develop General Managers and senior leadership teams.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
The ability to build credible relationships with hotel owners, developers, operating partners and senior industry stakeholders.
Exposure to vacation ownership, membership businesses, hotel development, inventory partnerships or management agreements would be highly regarded.
Experience within Bali or the broader Indonesian hospitality market would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
A highly visible, energetic and hands-on leadership style.
Most importantly, a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to challenge conventional thinking and find new ways to grow the business.
