Role Overview
Nexxen Japan is looking for an Insights Manager (BD) to join our growing team and play a critical role in accelerating Nexxen’s growth in the Japanese market.
This is a client-facing role that combines data, analytics, storytelling, commercial strategy, and hands-on execution. You will work closely with agencies, advertisers, and internal sales teams to uncover actionable audience insights and translate data into compelling campaign strategies that win new business.
Using our propriety analytics tools, Nexxen Discovery and Nexxen Studio Insights, you will analyse audience behaviours, media consumption trends, and market opportunities to develop insight-led solutions that differentiate Nexxen in agency pitches and client conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Japan sales team to develop and deliver insight-led proposals that drive revenue growth and agency adoption.
Use Nexxen Discovery and Nexxen Studio Insights to analyse audience segments, consumer behaviours, media trends, and market opportunities relevant to Japanese clients.
Translate analytics into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate the value of Nexxen’s data, technology, and activation capabilities.
Support agency pitches, RFP responses, workshops, and client presentations with audience insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations.
Produce client-ready reports, dashboards, and summaries that provide clear and actionable insight, not just data.
Support pre-campaign planning by providing data-driven rationale for target selection, market prioritisation, budget allocation, and strategic recommendations.
Support post-campaign analysis by combining Discovery data, campaign performance, and brand or engagement signals to create deeper insight and improve client retention.
Present insights and recommendations directly to agency planners, strategists, advertisers, and senior stakeholders in Japanese.
Identify opportunities to leverage Nexxen’s data capabilities to solve client business challenges and unlock new commercial opportunities.
Collaborate with sales, solutions, product, and regional teams to deliver best-in-class client solutions.
Work with the VP, Country Manager to develop go-to-market strategies for selling audience intelligence, consumer insights, planning tools, and measurement solutions to agencies and advertisers.
Develop scalable commercial offerings, including managed reports, insight subscriptions, consulting-style engagements, and data-driven planning solutions.
Partner with agencies, advertisers, government-related organisations, and export-focused clients to uncover business challenges where Nexxen’s intelligence capabilities can deliver measurable value.
Develop sales materials, case studies, and market narratives that position Nexxen Discovery and Nexxen Studio Insights as differentiated solutions for modern media planning and investment decisions.
Work with sales leadership to identify target verticals, priority accounts, and revenue opportunities for intelligence-based solutions.
Establish Nexxen as a strategic insights partner in Japan, expanding relationships beyond media buying into broader data, analytics, and business intelligence partnerships.
Build repeatable insight frameworks and sales tools to scale analytics-led selling across Japan.
Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities in the Japanese digital advertising ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in analytics, audience insights, media strategy, research, or data-driven advertising.
Strong understanding of the Japanese digital advertising landscape, including programmatic, CTV, and audience targeting.
Ability to work with data platforms and analytics tools to extract meaningful insights.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence agency and client stakeholders.
Commercial mindset with the ability to connect insights to business outcomes.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative sales environment.
Fluent Japanese and strong business English communication skills.
