OBDeleven is all about making car tech easy and accessible for everyone. For over 12 years, we are crafting simple yet powerful diagnostic and customization tools for car lovers globally. And we need your help to keep moving forward.

As a Backend Developer, you’ll:

• Tackle ambiguous, loosely defined problems where the right solution isn't known yet.
• Work in an AI-augmented engineering setup - using coding agents to prototype faster, explore more options, and spend your time on the hard problems rather than boilerplate.
• Implement logic for new innovative features, making a significant impact on our product.
• Work closely with mobile, hardware/embedded and other R&D engineers.
• Own the technical design end to end - scoping, planning, and estimating the full solution.
• Set and maintain high standards for code quality, even in fast-moving experimental work.
• Explore and suggest new technologies and improvements for existing functionalities.

We expect:

• Solid backend development expertise, with strong experience building scalable and maintainable backend systems. Our stack is Node.js, Nest.js, and TypeScript, with MySQL and MongoDB. You don't need to be an expert in every technology from day one - we value strong backend fundamentals and believe experienced senior developers can pick up Node.js/Nest.js quickly.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of your daily workflow - and good judgment about where they help and where they don't.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of self-directing through loosely defined problems - you're curious, you pick up new domains fast, and you take real ownership of what you build.
• Fluency in Lithuanian and full proficiency in English are required.

Here’s what we offer:

• Fair pay for bold work: We reward your expertise with competitive pay that grows as you do.
• Hybrid Work Flexibility: Work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home or wherever suits you best
• Focus on your well-being: Choose your comprehensive health plan, get paid days off to care for yourself and your family, and enjoy flexible working hours, as well as your birthday day off
• More time that truly counts: Enjoy a 4-day workweek for one month a year, depending on how well the company hits its goals. Plus, earn an additional vacation day for every working year with us - up to 4 extra days
• Real learning opportunities: Grow your skills with a 2% gross salary learning budget. Take your monthly paid self-learning day and improve stress-free
• Culture that connects: Enjoy Friday lunches on us, team buildings, company parties, and all the usual office perks like snacks, a cozy lounge, sport communities, and more.
• Environment for real impact: Got an idea that'll make OBDeleven better? Share it, get feedback, fine-tune, and take action. We trust expertise and value ownership.

Salary range

• Gross salary in a range: 4200 - 8000€ / month (depends on your experience)
