As a Member of Technical Staff at Quadrillion Labs, you'll build the systems that power Qualia, our research agent. This is a mix of exciting systems work — orchestrating agent loops, building the sandboxed environments where agents run experiments against real data, designing the APIs and tooling researchers actually touch, and scaling the infrastructure that keeps all of it fast and reliable as we grow — and the product work of turning a capable agent into something that subject matter experts depend on every day. You'll work closely with both research and product teams to ensure that our agents are reliable, fast, and operate well in a variety of environments.
What you'll do
Build effective systems for agent orchestration. You'll engineer the core system that drives Qualia, improving its ability to reason over long horizons, run parallel experiments, and manage its knowledge.
Scale environments for agent experiments and training. Help us build the sandboxed compute where agents run complex, high-performance experiments, and scale it to tens of thousands of concurrent deployments.
Expand what agents can do and where they run. Build and deploy the tools and integrations that connect Qualia to customers' data sources and external systems.
Required qualifications
Strong full-stack or backend engineering experience, especially with Python
Comfort working in unfamiliar codebases
Ability to move quickly in a zero-to-one environment

About Quadrillion
Quadrillion Labs builds Qualia, an agentic research intelligence platform that does real computational research — running experiments, analyzing data, and surfacing insight for the people who do this work at the highest level.
We're a team out of Stanford NLP, HRT, Citadel, Jane Street, Google Research, and Harvard Med, building for an audience that looks a lot like us. We've raised ~$18M from Conviction, Audacious, Bloomberg Beta, ex/ante, and angels including Wes McKinney, the creator of pandas. We're ~10 people in NYC, scaling to ~15 in the coming months.
We think this is the Industrial Revolution moment for research, and we're building the team to define what comes next.
