Platformの「ユーザー」は、Platformを利用してソリューションを開発する社内外の開発者、またはAIエージェント自体です。優れた基盤は、堅牢なバックエンドだけでなく、それを使う開発者やエージェントが直感的に扱えるインターフェース（API、SDK、管理画面、ダッシュボード等）があって初めて価値を発揮します。そのため、自らをインフラの作り手としてだけでなく「プロダクトの作り手」と捉え、ユーザーの体験を起点に基盤を設計できる方を求めています。
この職務は、日本を拠点とし、日本語でのビジネスレベルの会話および業務文書を理解する能力が求められます。
At Sakana AI, we are conducting world-leading research and development with unique generative AI technologies inspired by nature. The mission of the Platform Team is to develop modules such as agent execution infrastructure, evaluation infrastructure, and knowledge bases that serve as the foundation for providing this cutting-edge research as enterprise solutions, thereby streamlining solution development. We are looking for a Software Engineer to promote this mission together.
The "users" of the Platform are internal and external developers or AI agents that use the Platform to develop solutions. Excellent infrastructure only demonstrates its value when it has not only a robust backend but also interfaces (APIs, SDKs, management screens, dashboards, etc.) that developers and AI agents can use intuitively. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can view themselves not just as a builder of infrastructure but as a "product maker," and design the platform starting from the user experience.
This position is based in Japan and requires the ability to understand business-level conversation and operational documents in Japanese.
役割と責任 / Roles and Responsibilities
- 複数のソリューションから共通利用される再利用可能なPlatformモジュール（エージェント実行基盤、評価基盤、ナレッジベース等）の設計・開発・運用
- Solution / Product チームと協働し、Platformコンポーネントを各案件・プロダクトに組み込むことで、開発効率と品質を高める
- CI/CD、モニタリング、スケーリング、セキュリティなど、プロダクションを支える基盤の構築・運用
- Platformを利用する開発者向けSDK・テンプレート・ドキュメント・エージェントスキルの提供と開発者支援。コラボレーションや能動的なヒアリングを通じてフィードバックを収集し、基盤の改善に反映する
- 日本語と英語両方を用いるグローバルなチームにおけるコラボレーション
- Design, development, and operation of reusable Platform modules (agent execution infrastructure, evaluation infrastructure, knowledge base, etc.) commonly used across multiple solutions.
- Collaborate with Solution / Product teams to integrate Platform components into each solution to improve development efficiency and quality.
- Construction and operation of the infrastructure supporting production, including CI/CD, monitoring, scaling, and security.
- Provide SDKs, templates, documentation, and agent skills for developers using the Platform and provide developer support. Collect feedback through collaboration and proactive hearing to reflect it in platform improvements.
- Collaboration in a global team using both Japanese and English.
Requirements
応募資格およびスキル / Qualifications and Skills
- プラットフォーム/インフラ/SREいずれかの領域でのソフトウェアエンジニアとしての実務経験3年以上
- Python、TypeScript、Javaのいずれかによるバックエンド開発経験
- Kubernetes等のコンテナオーケストレーションを用いた本番システムの設計・運用経験
- パブリッククラウド（AWS / GCP / Azure）でのシステム構築経験
- CI/CD、IaC（Terraform等）を用いた開発・運用の実践経験
- LLM API（OpenAI / Anthropic / Google等）を用いたアプリケーションまたは基盤の開発経験
- ユーザーの体験を起点に設計・開発を行うプロダクトマインドセット
- 開発の生産性向上やプロセスの自動化に対する強いモチベーション
- 英語、日本語双方で業務上の会話・文書作成ができ、場面によって両者を使い分ける柔軟なコミュニケーションが取れること
- 日本語：JLPT N2相当以上、または同等の実務経験
- 英語：英検2級相当以上、または同等の実務経験
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer in the areas of Platform, Infrastructure, or SRE.
- Backend development experience with any of Python, TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience designing and operating production systems using container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
- Experience building systems on public clouds (AWS / GCP / Azure).
- Practical experience in development and operation using CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, etc.).
- Experience developing applications or infrastructure using LLM APIs (OpenAI / Anthropic / Google, etc.).
- Product mindset focused on designing and developing from the user experience.
- Strong motivation for improving development productivity and process automation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Japanese for business, with the flexibility to adapt language use depending on the situation
- Japanese: JLPT N2 equivalent or higher, or equivalent practical experience
- English: Eiken Grade 2 equivalent or higher, or equivalent practical experience

- LLMやAIエージェント（Function calling、MCP、マルチエージェントシステム等）を活用したアプリケーション・基盤の開発経験
- 社内プラットフォームや開発者向けツールの提供・普及（Platform Engineering / DevOps）の経験
- AI/MLスタートアップでの経験
- 大規模組織におけるデータガバナンス・コンプライアンス対応の経験
- OSSへのコントリビューションや技術発信の実績
- コンピューターサイエンスまたは関連分野の学士号または修士号の学位
- 英語でのビジネスレベルの会話スキル
- Frontend development experience using React, Next.js, TypeScript, etc.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, Mastra, OpenAI Agents SDK, etc.) or MCP.
- Experience designing and building observability infrastructure using Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.
- Experience operating LLMOps (prompt management, evaluation pipelines, tracing infrastructure: Langfuse, MLflow, etc.).
- Experience designing LLM evaluations (evaluation datasets, LLM-as-judge validity verification, metric design).
- Experience developing applications and infrastructure utilizing LLMs and AI agents (Function calling, MCP, multi-agent systems, etc.).
- Experience in providing and promoting internal platforms and developer tools (Platform Engineering / DevOps).
- Experience in an AI/ML startup.
- Experience with data governance and compliance in large-scale organizations.
- Proven track record of OSS contributions or technical advocacy.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Business-level conversation skills in English.
