Role Summary
Our mission is to build a different kind of technology consulting firm—one focused on doing, showing, and building more than talking. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead our talented engineering team and work closely with leadership to bridge the gap between technical strategy and day-to-day execution.
At SZNS, the bar is high. A successful engineering manager should exude the three tenets:
- Customer obsession: A no-nonsense, fast, and flexible approach where solving the customer's problem always comes first.
- Calm and consistent under pressure, with the strong judgment required to balance delivery speed against architectural quality.
- Attentive results: A focus on delivering results through hard work and high quality, recognizing that attention to detail is what separates "great" from "good".
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can break down complex technical projects, mentor a high-performing team, and ensure that our Cloud, Data, and AI deployments meet our high bar for pragmatic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering delivery: Own day-to-day engineering delivery across multiple strategic client engagements and internal platform initiatives, ensuring that tasks are clear, prioritized, and progressing.
- Lead, mentor, and grow teams: Building a culture of ownership, craft, and continuous improvement while increasing team autonomy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with product and technical leadership to break down, scope, and plan complex technical projects across our AI, GCP, and Web3 domains.
- Identify and maintain high standards: Ensure excellent code quality, system performance, and maintainability by establishing best practices and guiding architectural decisions.
- Ensure momentum: Proactively identify risks and escalate them early, improving team processes so that our delivery becomes faster and more predictable.
