Role Overview – Director, Paid Social & Display Marketing
We are seeking an experienced marketing leader to own the strategy, planning, and execution across our paid social and display marketing efforts in Taiwan. This role will manage a significant media investment, lead of team of channel experts, and work alongside peer channel leaders across other marketing activities. This is a high-visibility leadership role in a fast growing market: the right candidate combines deep hands-on platform expertise with rigorous, incrementality-first measurement instincts, executive-level communication, and a track record of building and developing strong teams in fast-moving, data-driven environments.
What You Will Do
- Own strategy, planning, and execution for paid social and display channels in Taiwan - spanning Meta, TikTok, programmatic display, and other publishers - with accountability for customer acquisition, retention, and efficiency targets.
- Manage large-scale media budgets across platforms, including forecasting, pacing, and reallocation based on marginal returns, incrementality evidence, and business seasonality
- Build, lead and develop a team of channel managers and specialists, setting a high bar for analytical rigor, platform craft, and operational excellence
- Partner closely with peer leaders across other channels to ensure coordinated strategies, and collaborate with creative, product, and data science teams to connect media execution to business outcomes.
- Drive measurement excellence with your channels: design and run conversion lift studies and evolve attribution frameworks beyond last-click to reflect true incremental value
- Serve as the senior point of contact for platform partners, negotiating alphas/betas, securing early access to new products, and driving joint business plans
- Present channel performance, forecasts, and investment cases to senior stakeholders, translating complex measurement results into clear, decision-ready recommendations
Qualifications
- 10+ year of digital advertising experience, with 5+ years focused on paid social and/or display at significant investment scale
- 4+ years of people-management experience
- Deep hands-on experience across major ad platforms (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Search Ads, etc.)
- Proven track record of driving measurable, incremental growth for a consumer app or e-commerce business
- Strong command of measurement methodologies: lift studies, geo/holdout experimentation, MMM, MMP attribution, and limitations within each
- Advanced analytical skills, fluency working with large datasets and partnering with data science teams to explain requirements clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a history of presenting to VP/C-level stakeholders
- Professional fluency in English
