Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) – Utilities IPP LATAM role supporting our Utilities and Independent Power Producer (IPP) business across Latin America. In this strategic role, you will lead the identification, origination, structuring, negotiation and closing of energy opportunities across the region, helping expand Aggreko’s presence through projects, investments, partnerships and asset acquisitions in power generation, energy storage, transmission, distribution, water, gas and other utility sub-sectors.

What you’ll do as Senior Business Development Manager:
- Build and execute, once approved, the medium and long-term regional Utilities and IPP growth strategy.
- Develop a robust commercial pipeline and maintain accurate forecasts across Latin America.
- Identify greenfield, brownfield, Ready-to-Build (RTB) and operating thermal, hybrid, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and NCRE opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with utilities, developers, EPCs, investors, regulators, sector chambers and government entities.
- Lead the commercial, technical and financial evaluation of new business opportunities.
- Coordinate due diligence activities across technical, legal, tax, regulatory and financial workstreams.
- Develop business cases, investment memos and approval presentations for strategic opportunities.
- Coordinate with our financial team to support project finance structures with banks, multilaterals and sector infrastructure funds.
- Establish, jointly with the Utilities Sector Manager, negotiation strategies for PPAs, EPC agreements, O&M contracts, JV agreements and acquisition contracts.
- Monitor energy regulations and electricity market developments, including spot, capacity and energy markets applicable to thermal, hybrid, BESS and renewable energy solutions.
- Identify acquisition, partnership and investment opportunities aligned with Aggreko’s strategy.
- Present opportunities to leadership and follow established governance and approval processes.
- Provide market intelligence and sector insights across Latin America.
- Share innovation, market insights and best practices with peers and regional sales teams.
- Drive opportunities through the commercial process with a focus on qualified pipeline growth, project approvals, EBITDA generation and strategic partnerships.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in Utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPP), energy projects, project development or project finance.
- Strong knowledge of power markets, energy regulation and utility business models.
- Experience supporting financial models and evaluating energy investments.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive-level presentation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders across commercial, technical, financial, legal and regulatory functions.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is desirable.
- Availability to travel across Latin America.
