Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

Role Purpose
Support foreign institutional(FINI) clients investing in the local market by promoting HSBC custody and related banking services, ensuring a consistently high-quality client experience across custody products, proactively resolving issues, and driving service improvements, guiding clients through investment approval processes, and providing timely market/regulatory updates. Work closely with internal custody teams and external market bodies (e.g., regulators, exchange, depository) to deliver strong client outcomes while maintaining robust operational and compliance standards.
Job Contents
- Serve as the primary contact for all communications with foreign institutional clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and responsive issue management.
- Providing a reliable link between the customers and various sections and departments of the Bank;
- Preparing market news updates and due diligence materials, and contributing content for customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs);
- Conduct service review with clients, ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction in order to maximize profitability for the Bank.
- Handle client queries on investment operations, market entry topics, and service matters, ensuring service levels are met.
- Analyse impacts of regulatory/practice changes on clients and coordinate clarifications with local authorities where needed, and produce market news broadcasts covering regulatory and market practice changes.
Qualification Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business, Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experienced in the securities industry and/or commercial/institutional banking, with proven experience servicing foreign institutional clients.
- Experience in custody services and/or a client-facing role is an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
