White Cross Lunn Ave is looking for a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our urgent care team. This is a varied role where you’ll be at the heart of the patient experience, working alongside a supportive team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome & support: Be the first point of contact for patients, providing a friendly and professional experience from arrival through to departure.
- Keep things moving: Manage reception, phones, bookings and patient flow while helping the clinic run smoothly.
- Patient care: Keep patients informed, respond to questions and help create a calm, well-organised waiting room experience.
- Payments & administration: Process payments, invoices and claims, complete enrolments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Privacy & safety: Handle patient information with care and follow clinic privacy, security, health and safety procedures.

About You
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring:
- Experience in medical reception, administration or customer service
- Confidence managing phones, patients, payments and multiple priorities
- A calm, friendly and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Respect for privacy and a culturally aware approach
- The ability to stay composed and organised when things get busy
- Flexibility to work the required roster
- Legal right to work in New Zealand (essential)
