Air Liquide is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to report directly to the Sales Manager for NSW & ACT. In this high-impact growth role, you will take full ownership of expanding our market presence, turning complex customer challenges into tailored technical and commercial solutions, and securing long-term strategic contracts across industrial and energy sectors.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Market Analysis & Strategic Positioning: Analyze competitor dynamics, industry trends, and market gaps across NSW to shape our long-term growth objectives and target high-value sector opportunities.
Pipeline Creation & Network Expansion: Execute proactive development plans to discover new accounts, building strong networks across commercial enterprises, key industry bodies, and regulatory agencies.
End-to-End Technical & Commercial Solutions: Partner with client decision-makers to translate operational needs into tailored technical and commercial project proposals, guiding deals from concept through to formal agreement.
High-Stakes Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to close profitable, complex long-term supply contracts, providing commercial oversight during project delivery.
Strategic Account Retention & Growth: Manage key client relationships, defend Air Liquide’s customer base, resolve commercial challenges, and collaborate with Account Managers to maximize lifetime customer value.

Are you a MATCH?

Track Record: 3–5+ years of proven success in technical sales, commercial business development, or key account management within industrial, energy, or engineering services.
Deal-Making Savvy: Exceptional capability in commercial negotiation, financial proposal structuring, and managing complex stakeholder matrixes.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A solution-focused, consultative style with the agility to understand client engineering requirements and translate them into compelling business cases.
Growth Orientation: Highly self-motivated, proactive in hunting new business, and driven by achieving quarterly targets.
