More about the role
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Channel Marketeer to support sales growth and market share expansion through the execution of go-to-market and trade marketing strategies within the Professional Trade Distribution channel. This role focuses on B2B customers, including electrical wholesalers, trade partners, contractors, and electricians. The successful candidate will drive demand generation programs, channel marketing initiatives, contractor engagement activities, and partner activation campaigns. This individual will work closely with sales teams, T1 channel partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to increase channel performance, strengthen customer relationships, and accelerate business growth. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen, analytical thinking, and strong stakeholder management skills, with hands-on experience in channel execution and B2B marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Go-to-Market & Channel Management
- Execute go-to-market, and channel marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and deploy POSM, merchandising standards, and activation campaigns across electrical retail stores.
- Monitor channel performance and drive growth initiatives.
- Support channel development and commercial programs.
- Drive channel expansion and growth across both online and offline sales channels.
- Support deployment and execution of T1 channel partner programs, including partner engagement activities, incentive programs, marketing campaigns, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with key channel partners to ensure successful execution of joint business plans and marketing initiatives.
Customer & Market Insights
- Define and segment customers based on customer type, business potential, and purchasing behavior.
- Identify growth opportunities across channel segments and target customer groups.
- Analyze customer buying behavior, market trends, and customer journeys.
- Monitor competitor activities and channel dynamics to support business decisions.
Marketing & Demand Generation
- Execute omnichannel demand generation and marketing campaigns.
- Develop co-marketing activities with channel partners.
- Plan and execute contractor engagement programs to drive customer loyalty, specification opportunities, and demand generation.
- Develop tailored campaigns and communication programs targeting contractors, electricians, and trade professionals.
- Support product marketing initiatives through customer and market insights.
Commercial Performance
- Manage marketing funnel effectiveness and campaign performance.
- Track ROI and optimize Advertising & Promotion (A&P) investments.
- Support revenue growth, margin improvement, and channel profitability objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, MarCom, Product Marketing, and external agencies.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, electricians, distributors, wholesalers, and channel partners.
- Share best practices and support team performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in trade marketing, channel marketing, commercial marketing, sales support, or related B2B roles.
- Required experience in B2B business environments and indirect sales channels Experience in commercial, sales, trade/channel marketing, or similar roles.
- Proven track record in go-to-market execution, channel strategy, and marketing activation.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, sales tools, and customer engagement platforms.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation and buying journeys.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong trade marketing, and channel development expertise.
- Experience in planning and executing in-store marketing activities, POSM, merchandising, and branding initiatives.
- Strong understanding of distributor, wholesaler, and indirect channel business models.
- Ability to analyze customer segments, market opportunities, and campaign performance.
- Experience planning and executing omnichannel marketing campaigns.
- Strong coordination skills to work with sales teams, retail stores, suppliers, and channel partners on promotional and activation programs.
- Experience managing contractor engagement and partner activation programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical, reporting, and ROI measurement skills.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to improve marketing effectiveness, reporting, insights generation, and campaign execution.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Data Cleansing
- Reporting and Analysis
- MS PowerPoint , or other presentation software
- Experience with CRM, marketing automation, or business intelligence tools is an advantage.
- Experience using AI-powered productivity and analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI AI capabilities, marketing automation platforms) is a strong advantage.
