Purpose:
The Internal Wholesaler – Structured Settlements drives sales growth by proactively engaging structured settlement agents, building trusted relationships and creating opportunities to expand the use of Athene annuity solutions. Working in close partnership with the Relationship Manager (RM), you will help shape and execute territory strategy while supporting agents throughout the sales process—from prospecting and quoting through ongoing relationship development.This is an opportunity to contribute to an important area of growth and innovation at Athene. Accountabilities:
- Partner with the Sales Manager to develop and execute a territory business plan that generates opportunities, strengthens agent relationships and drives structured settlement sales.
- Work with pricing and sales team members to generate proposals resulting in profitable top line sales
- Work with legal and operations to promote timely, effective communication with appointed agents
- Prospect, profile and proactively engage assigned agents through consistent outreach, targeted call campaigns and timely lead follow-up to increase awareness and utilization of Athene structured settlements
- Plan and execute agent engagement activities, including conference calls, webinars, virtual meetings and email campaigns, in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
- Use agent, territory and campaign insights to prioritize opportunities, improve outreach and drive results, leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools appropriately to increase efficiency and personalize engagement.
- Build productive internal and external relationships while demonstrating ownership, adaptability, creativity and a bias for action in a fast-moving sales environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 4+ years of financial services sales experience, including prospecting, relationship development and driving sales results, or relevant experience, preferred.
- Annuity product sales experience strongly preferred, with the ability to understand and communicate product, service and regulatory information effectively; structured settlement experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence outcomes and engage customers through proactive outreach.
- Life license required; if not currently licensed, must obtain the required license within six months. Completion of industry continuing education such as LIMRA/LOMA or progress toward an advanced designation such as CLU, RICP or ChFC is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability and bias for action, including the ability to navigate ambiguity, learn quickly and use technology and AI responsibly to improve sales effectiveness; Excel proficiency preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
