This isn’t your average internship. At BASF, you’ll:
- Make an Impact: Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices — all aimed at developing hybrid-specific recommendations for Western Canada.

- Learn by Doing: Get hands-on experience with all phases of field trial activities — from seed setup and planting to pest control, plot maintenance, and harvest.

Students will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency - Raise Recruiting. Opportunities are based on business needs at our sites.
Candidates resumes will be presented to BASF based on requirements of the assignments being a match and fit based on experience. What You’ll Learn:
- How to conduct agronomic field trials and analyze crop performance.
- The practical application of seed technology and hybrid development.
- Field scouting techniques and crop health diagnostics.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills in dynamic field conditions.
- What You’ll Do:
- Conduct field trials with the Agronomic Excellence team.
- Assist with all phases of crop cycle activities — from land prep and planting to harvest.
- Monitor field and research plots, collect data, and analyze results.
- Supervise casual employees as needed.
- Travel regularly within your assigned territory for field scouting and diagnostics.
- What We’re Looking For:
- You’re currently enrolled in an agriculture or related degree program.
- You’re passionate about agronomy, hybrid development, and field research.
- You’re a strong communicator, organized, and ready to learn.
- You have a valid driver’s license and are open to travel.
- You’re familiar with agricultural equipment and field research practices (preferred but not required).
- You’re detail-oriented and adaptable to changing field conditions.
To be eligible for this internship, you must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to studies following the internship. Applications from individuals who have already graduated will not be considered.
