We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting the production of advanced Indium Phosphide semiconductor wafers and chips.
As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping maintain compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations.
- Verify product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support the Quality Engineer with quality control activities.
- Conduct routine process audits, ESD audits, and verification activities.
- Assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management.
- Complete shop floor inspections, spot checks, and process monitoring.
- Drive and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support customer and internal quality audits.
- Assist with site calibration activities.
- Carry out Goods In and Goods Out inspections.
- Support the internal audit programme.
- Monitor and support change control activities.
- Develop and update QA work instructions and documentation.
About You
You'll be a motivated individual with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. You enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively, and maintaining high standards in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Requirements
- Experience carrying out quality audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- BTEC ONC/OND in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (or similar), or 3–5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within manufacturing.
- Calibration experience.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Knowledge of SAP, Agile, PROMIS, or similar manufacturing systems.
