What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
Support the design, development, enhancement, and delivery of payment systems and technology solutions
Work alongside senior engineers to understand and contribute to enterprise-scale applications and platforms
Participate in system analysis, design discussions, coding, testing, and implementation activities
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
Support troubleshooting, issue investigation, and resolution activities within the payments ecosystem
Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
Contribute to project documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned
Who You Work With
Group Engineering, within the Group Operations & Technology Division, plays a key role in driving OCBC's technology transformation. The team delivers secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that support the bank's businesses, customers, and operations.
As part of the Payments Engineering team, you'll work alongside experienced software engineers, solution architects, and technology professionals who are responsible for building and enhancing the bank's payments capabilities. You'll gain exposure to enterprise systems, modern engineering practices, and the technologies that power digital banking experiences.
Who You Are
Currently pursuing or recently completed an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong logical and analytical thinking skills
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar technologies
Interest in software engineering, enterprise systems, and system design
Eager to learn new technologies and the payments domain
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to challenges
Good communication and collaboration skills
Proactive, adaptable, and open to learning and feedback
