Balance Sheet Strategy Specialist Why Join As a Balance Sheet Strategy Specialist at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in shaping the bank's financial future. You'll work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that optimize our balance sheet, drive business growth, and maintain a strong risk profile. It's a challenging and rewarding role that requires a unique blend of analytical, strategic, and communication skills. How you succeed To succeed in this role, you'll need to develop a deep understanding of the bank's business, risk profile, and financial performance. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for growth, optimize resource allocation, and manage risk. Your ability to analyze complex data, think strategically, and communicate effectively will be essential to driving business outcomes. What you do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing balance sheet strategies that align with the bank's business objectives - Analyzing financial data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization - Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement strategic initiatives - Providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders on balance sheet management and risk optimization - Developing and maintaining financial models and tools to support balance sheet analysis and decision-making Who you are - A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic insights - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization - Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the banking industry and financial markets - Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex problems Who we are As Singapore's longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. Job Purpose:

Support the management and optimization of the Bank's balance sheet, liquidity, and capital. The role works closely with Business Units, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Global Markets to drive desired balance sheet growth, maintain regulatory compliance and support strategic balance sheet decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Balance Sheet Management

Lead analysis of balance sheet structure, funding profile and business growth trends to identify optimization opportunities.
Develop and support balance sheet strategies to support profitability, liquidity resilience and capital-efficient growth.

Capital Management

Monitor and forecast capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and capital consumption trends.
Support local capital optimization initiatives and support medium-term capital planning.

FTP Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)

Review and enhance FTP methodologies and assumptions.
Assess financial impact of FTP changes and recommend actions to drive desired business behavior.

Liquidity and Funding Management

Monitor liquidity, funding and structural balance sheet risk indicators.
Assess impact of market developments, interest rate movements and regulatory changes on liquidity and funding strategies.
Support formulation of liquidity and funding strategies to optimize funding costs and regulatory ratios.

Strategic Projects & Transformation

Lead and participate in ADD transformation initiatives, including data, modeling, forecasting and automation projects.
Drive continuous enhancement of balance sheet simulation, capital planning and management information capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking or related discipline.
3–8 years' experience in Treasury, ALM, Balance Sheet Management, Capital Management, Finance or Risk Management.
Understanding of banking regulations relating to capital adequacy, liquidity risk and interest rate risk.
Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and management reporting.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of treasury or risk systems is advantageous.
