Coral Care is hiring a contract Sales Development Representative to grow our referral-partnership channel, calling similar pediatric-adjacent referral partners to book intro conversations.
About Coral Care
Coral Care brings pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy into families' homes, built around how working parents actually manage care. We partner with clinics, pediatricians, early intervention providers, daycares, and other organizations that already work with the same families, coordinating our in-home SLP/OT/PT visits around each child's existing schedule.
The role
We're looking for a contract SDR to grow our referral-partnership pipeline. You'll cold-call ABA clinics and similar pediatric-adjacent organizations, run a call-and-email cadence, and book intro conversations between clinic decision-makers and our referral coordinator. This is outbound, high-volume, relationship-opening work: your job is to get the conversation started, not to close the partnership yourself.
What you'll do
Make outbound cold calls to referral partners (other organizations that serve the same families)
Run a call-and-email outreach cadence in Apollo, following up on the sequences it kicks off automatically
Handle common objections confidently, drawing on our live call-reference tool (script, objection responses, insurance lookup)
Book qualified intro calls directly onto our referral coordinator's calendar
Send the one templated booking-confirmation email once a clinic books (cc'ing the referral coordinator); everything else in the cadence runs automatically
Log every call and outcome accurately in Apollo so the team has a clean, trustworthy pipeline
Hit weekly call-volume and connect targets
What we're looking for
Required
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls every day (40-60+) without losing energy
A confident, resilient phone communicator who isn't rattled by gatekeepers or rejection
Organized and reliable about logging activity accurately, every call, every day
Able to work independently in a remote, contract role with minimal day-to-day oversight
Preferred
Prior cold-calling, appointment-setting, or SDR experience, ideally in healthcare, education, or another B2B services context
Familiarity with a sales engagement tool (Apollo, Outreach, SalesLoft) or CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce); we'll train you on our specific setup either way
Comfort improvising through a live conversation rather than reading a rigid script
Pay, schedule, and ramp
Structure: hourly base rate plus performance bonuses for meetings booked and partnerships that convert into referrals
Hours: 30-40 hrs / week, remote
Ramp: a structured 4-week onboarding with call scripts, objection-handling references, and weekly roleplay/recorded-call review to build confidence fast
Tools provided: Apollo (calling, email cadence, CRM), our live call-reference tool, and a warm handoff process to our referral coordinator for every booked meeting
