Principal Marketing Analyst

What is your mission?
We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Marketing Analyst to lead executive-level marketing analytics initiatives, design measurement methodologies, and deliver data-driven insights that influence business decisions. The role will own marketing analytics, Power BI dashboards, semantic data models, campaign performance reporting, ROI analysis, attribution measurement, and advanced analytics projects while partnering closely with senior stakeholders.
You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:
- Lead end-to-end analytical projects by translating complex business questions into actionable insights and validated recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Define analytical methodologies, assumptions, reporting standards, and sources of truth for business-critical marketing decisions.
- Design, develop, and govern marketing data models, semantic layers, KPI frameworks, channel mappings, and reporting classifications.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance, validation, reconciliation, and accuracy standards across all marketing analytics deliverables.
- Review and certify the accuracy of marketing-related analyses, reports, dashboards, and insights produced by cross-functional teams.
- Design and implement campaign measurement frameworks, incrementality testing, holdout testing, and year-over-year performance methodologies.
- Build and maintain executive-level Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models focused on lead generation, conversion, retention, campaign effectiveness, and ROI.
- Perform advanced analytics including audience segmentation, customer clustering, survey analysis, propensity modelling, and performance forecasting.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations directly to executive stakeholders and confidently defend methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions.
- Partner with marketing leaders on initiatives such as lifecycle marketing, customer re-engagement strategies, referral programme analysis, and digital funnel optimisation.
- Support marketing analytics platform modernisation initiatives, including migration to Databricks lakehouse architecture and reporting transformation efforts.
- Define marketing technology data collection requirements and ensure reliable attribution, engagement tracking, and performance measurement capabilities.
- Maintain rigorous data governance, documentation, auditability, and reproducibility standards across all analytical assets.
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience along with a strong marketing analytics background
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analytics roles.
- At least 3 years of dedicated marketing analytics experience supporting campaign measurement, attribution analysis, channel performance evaluation, and marketing spend optimisation.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data modelling, data validation, and warehouse analytics.
- Expert-level experience designing and building complete Power BI solutions, including semantic models, reporting layers, dashboards, and enterprise reporting structures.
- Advanced expertise in DAX, including filter context, context transition, and scalable measure development.
- Strong experience with marketing analytics methodologies, including attribution modelling, campaign measurement, incrementality testing, A/B testing, holdout testing, matchback analysis, and reporting governance.
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics, automation, modelling, and data analysis; PySpark experience is an advantage.
- Experience working with Databricks, Spark, or comparable cloud-based analytics platforms is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and HubSpot, including data integration, attribution analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarty with Hightouch: MarTech platform
- Demonstrated ability to validate, review, and take full accountability for analyses and outputs generated using AI-assisted tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical thinking, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguous requirements, and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and dedication to maintaining governance and documentation standards.
