The Incubation and Business Development Manager will drive growth and deeper engagement among MSME merchants by developing scalable sales and business development strategies. The role will focus on increasing merchant activity, expanding wallet share, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and working with BPO and other external partners to scale merchant acquisition and growth.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to grow the MSME merchant base and increase revenue.
- Manage and optimize the sales funnel, from lead generation and onboarding to merchant activation and growth.
- Identify high-value accounts and opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and increasing merchant wallet share.
- Develop scalable industry playbooks and solutions that address the needs of MSME merchants.
- Lead and manage BPO and Virtual Key Account Management (VKAM) partners, including setting performance targets, guidelines, and monitoring routines.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to improve merchant activity, engagement, and product adoption.
- Develop strategies to re-engage inactive merchants and drive usage of GCash for Business products and services.
- Partner with Product, Customer Experience, Merchant Experience, Marketing, and other teams to resolve merchant concerns and improve the overall after-sales experience.
- Monitor account performance, sales pipelines, conversion rates, and partner productivity to ensure targets are met.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports, dashboards, account profiles, and performance updates.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on MSME industries and recommend relevant GCash solutions based on merchant needs and market trends.
- Drive initiatives from planning to execution and ensure timely follow-through with internal teams and external partners.
We are looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, or a related field, preferably with experience managing or growing businesses through third-party partners.
- Experience managing BPO, outsourced sales, or Virtual Key Account Management (VKAM) teams is highly preferred.
- Experience in the financial services, banking, microfinance, digital payments, fintech, or BPO industry is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies, business development, and account growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good project management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven, with strong ownership and follow-through.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
