Job Description
Your Responsibilities
Support the build-up of a European self-service growth engine by driving day-to-day commercial execution, sales enablement, and business development across SMBs, retailers, national and international buyers, and selected sales partnerships. The “Sr. Manager Self-Service & SMB” helps connect today’s Ad Manager and SME activities into one coherent commercial approach, supports automation as a growth and cost-efficiency lever, and contributes to unlocking new European revenue potential.
- Commercial execution, revenue support & business steering
- Translate commercial priorities into concrete sales activities across SMBs, retailers, national and international buyers, sales partnerships, licensing, and new business.
- Support market prioritization, client segmentation, revenue targets, sales motions, and scalable playbooks in close alignment with the Head of Commercial Self-Service & SMB and relevant sales stakeholders.
- Support pipeline tracking, forecasting, business case monitoring, and revenue transparency to help build a scalable and commercially relevant self-service business.
- Commercial consulting, sales enablement & partner growth
- Act as a commercial sparring partner for self-service clients and internal sales teams, including SMBs, retailers, agencies, mid-market advertisers, and partner-led growth opportunities.
- Provide hands-on commercial consulting, enablement, and best-practice sharing across markets, helping sales teams and partners turn self-service into a repeatable revenue model.
- Support business development and re-selling through selected third-party sales partners, including partner onboarding, enablement, and day-to-day relationship management.
- Go-to-market support, platform growth & stakeholder collaboration
- Develop and adapt sales narratives, value propositions, packaging input, and go-to-market materials for premium video, ATV, CTV, and digital inventory in a self-service environment.
- Collaborate closely with product & platform team, client success, and managed sales teams to turn market feedback, automation potential, and commercial bottlenecks into practical growth and efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute to positioning RTL AdAlliance’s self-service offer as a credible European alternative to GAFA and other unified-advertising platforms by preparing commercial updates, insights, and recommendations.
Location : Can be Hamburg, Cologne or Munich
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Commercial drive: solid sales and business-development experience in digital advertising, ad-tech, self-service, programmatic, or broadcaster-related digital businesses with approx. 3-5 years of relevant experience. Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Revenue mindset: ability to contribute to revenue growth, support scalable sales motions, and translate platform capabilities into clear commercial value.
- Market understanding: clear view of SMB, mid-market, retail, agency, national, international, and partner-led sales opportunities in premium video, ATV, CTV, and digital advertising.
- Automation orientation: comfort with self-service and automation-led models, including the ability to translate product capability into client value, efficiency, and growth.
- Independent operator: hands-on, structured, and collaborative, able to drive workstreams independently and work effectively with product, platform, intelligence, client success, and managed sales teams.
- Language skills: fluent German and English; additional European languages are a plus.
