Job Description

Position:                            Electrician

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To utilize education and experience in the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility and associated buildings

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• You are required to work a 48 hours per week
• You are  required to take 15 minutes breakfast half an hour for lunch each day at the Staff canteen 15 minutes tea break half an hour for dinner
• You are required to take proper care of all material and tool.
• Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems and equipment, both high and low voltage, air distributions systems, pumps, transformers, motors, and appliances.
• Understands electrical plans for Hotel building and electrical equipment.
• Draws circuits on a diagram for controls.
• Design functional electric circuitry for electrical systems.
• Locate and adjust defects in electrical systems and equipment.
• Installs electrical fitting to existing houses, building &/or other structures.
• Liaise with clients &/or other relevant personal.
• Keep clients informed of tasks completed &/or timeframes to complete tasks.
•  Adheres to all company safety guidelines.
• Use and care for hand tools and equipment necessary to perform various electrical repairs tasks.
• Meets company attendance requirements.
• Meets company uniform appearance and grooming standards.
• You are required to keep your working environment clean and tidy free from all potential hazard
• Self-started and proactive profile
• Should be able to check your stock level needed during your shift duty
• Should have proper control and monitoring of the tools, equipment and materials to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work with other department, the jobs get do be done,
• You should be flexible towards tasks assigned to him to work odd hours.
• make sure that all machineries are working properly
• check instruments and switchboards to make sure that all systems are working efficiently to detect line disturbances
• Keep the record of fuel used for generators.
• Monitor and records all the operational data which are related to distribution of power.
• In the event of power interruption he should be familiar with the basic troubleshooting
• Check and ensure that the water plant is operational and record water usage and production
• Daily check the water level in the tank.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determine the same as and when required
• Maintain the plant operation equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly condition.
• Function as a shift operator; make decision and stand alone on shift
• Ability to work extended hours if and when required.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire and environmental hazards.
• You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related duties as assigned by the management.  The hotel reserves the right to update, revise or change this job description and related duties at any time.   

SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS)

1. Sound knowledge in electrical and mechanical system
2. Certificate/diploma in related field
3. Knowledge in basic health and safety related to this field and you are require to abide to.
