Sales Manager (Underground Equipment)
Role Purpose
Drive sales growth of Sandvik underground drilling equipment, loaders and trucks across the CIS region by developing customer relationships, identifying business opportunities and increasing Sandvik’s market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for underground equipment, including identification and analysis of customer needs and business opportunities to grow market share.
- Monitor competitor activities, market developments and customer trends to support the development of competitive commercial and technical solutions.
- Manage customer opportunities and activities through CRM, including registration of customer inquiries, opportunity tracking, order follow-up and analysis of customer interactions.
- Conduct regular customer and mine-site visits to understand operating conditions, equipment performance and customer requirements, and to collect operational feedback.
- Participate in tenders and lead the preparation, coordination and negotiation of technical and commercial proposals, contracts and equipment specifications.
- Develop and execute the annual sales plan and achieve agreed sales and order intake targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on customers’ installed equipment base and future investment plans.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries through to the successful fulfilment of contractual obligations in cooperation with logistics, service and other relevant functions.
- Provide commercial after-sales support, including coordination of deliveries, payment follow-up and management of accounts receivable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and work closely with Sandvik product lines and internal functions to develop long-term business opportunities.
Your Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales role or in complex B2B sales.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sales or business strategies, with the ability to analyze market trends and adapt commercial approaches to changing market conditions.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customer and internal stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate technical and commercial concepts clearly.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- English proficiency at Intermediate level or above.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the mining industry.
- Knowledge of the underground mining equipment market, key customers and competitors.
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system.
